I Resolve To® . . . Haiku Resolve: One Haiku, One Week – 2018 Vibes #1 Of 52
Happy New Year 2018! In the coming year my theme is "Create – Focus, Follow Through, Finish." In 2005, I launched I Resolve To® . . . to pursue my own New Year Resolutions mindfully, with intention and purpose – "and" to help others to do the same with simple, common sense strategies. Creativity via words and images, has been, and continues to be, my passion and primary focus.
In 2009 I created and launched "Daily Resolves" via the I Resolve To . . . Challenge. Now in its 10th year, I continue the Challenge in my day-to-day life and urge you to do the same. The Challenge in form and function is very simple: 365 Resolutions For Health & Happiness. Make every day New Year's Day. Make every day count. Do at least one thing each and every day to promote health and happiness for you! Small daily steps add up to big results over time. To learn more, click here.
I continue to develop new photo resolutions, adding each one to my I Resolve To . . . Daily Resolves tapestry. This year, in keeping with a book that has been in the works since 2005 – Haiku Resolve – I am launching a new resolution: Write one new haiku each week, for 52 weeks, in an effort to mindfully, intentionally embrace the seasons and all the "simple wonder" around me. English haiku is one of my favorite forms of poetry. Simple verse, three lines, 5-7-5 syllables, seasonal, often with a nature image. Looking forward to creating 52 beautiful "Haiku Resolve Vibes" in 2018!
This brings me to the heart and purpose of I Resolve To . . . A key to New Year Resolution success is to choose resolutions that you will absolutely love to pursue. Desire to live your resolutions will build momentum with each small step and each small success. My personal and professional mantra is "Do What You Love, Love What You Do". When you pursue your passions you are sure to find success. There are no failures. Stumbles and road blocks are nothing more than lessons that will make you and your resolve stronger.
